Biography & Awards
Tatyana Richaud is a 17 year old film composer and singer/songwriter, with extensive experience in classical and jazz piano, songwriting, composing, and music technology. She has arranged and scored short films, and has collaborated with top tier professional composers on TV series & features. She has studied classical piano for 12 years, jazz piano for 3, guitar for 2, music theory for 4, and bass for 1. She is currently enrolled at Lachsa, (Los Angeles County High School for the Arts) where she focuses on music production, composition, orchestration, songwriting, and vocal studies. Under the direction of composer Graham Coxon (founding member of Blur), she sang lead female vocals for the band Bloodwitch who was prominently featured in the Netflix hit series "I am not okay with this".
In 2021, she was nominated twice at the All-American High School Film Festival for the Teen Indie awards, for Best Original Score. She is a 2022 National YoungArts Winner in Voice - Singer/Songwriter. She was also awarded Best Film Score at Lachsa’s end of the year festival; Moondance. Her vocal jazz ensemble placed 2nd at the Monterey Jazz Festival, and she was awarded Best Songwriter of Lachsa in 2019. She also placed 1st in several MTAC piano competitions from 2015-2019.
